Lazy stoner Dale Denton (Seth Rogen) has only one reason to visit
his equally lazy dealer Saul Silver (James Franco): to purchase
weed, specifically, a rare new strain called Pineapple Express. But
when Dale becomes the only witness to a murder by a crooked cop
(Rosie Perez) and the city's most dangerous drug lord (Gary Cole),
he panics and dumps his roach of Pineapple Express at the scene.
As Dale and Saul run for their lives, they quickly discover that
theyre not suffering from weed-fueled paranoia; incredibly, the bad
guys really are hot on their trail and trying to figure out the fastest
way to kill them both.
Rated R. Pervasive language, drug use,
sexual references and violence. A Sony Pictures release.

ADVANCE SCREENING REGULATIONS
One of the benefits of being a member of Cinema/Chicago is the access to many advance screenings throughout the year. There are two types:
1. Cinema/Chicago members screenings
These screenings are exclusively for Cinema/Chicago members. Members are sometimes permitted to bring a guest;
Members receive a mailed postcard announcing the film, screening date, and theatre location. A reminder email will be sent one week prior to the screening;
Members must present their current Cinema/Chicago membership card for admission into the theatre. You must arrive early as seating is on a first-come, first-seated basis. Admission is not guaranteed and is based on theatre capacity.
All invitations (printed and electronic) will have the Cinema/Chicago logo and have reference to the Festival website: www.chicagofilmfestival.com and hotline telephone number: 312-332-FILM. Please note admission is by Cinema/Chicago membership card only.
Cinema/Chicago member screenings are listed on the Festival website: www.chicagofilmfestival.com and announced on the Festival hotline: 312-332-FILM.
2. Studio screenings
Cinema/Chicago and the Chicago International Film Festival, now in its 44th year, have strong partnerships with all the major studios. They value our members and often invite them to their advance screenings. The differences between a STUDIO SCREENING and a Cinema/Chicago members screening are:
Studio screenings are hosted by the studio and their publicists, NOT Cinema/Chicago. All passes will have the studios logo and/or name; the Cinema/Chicago logo will not appear anywhere on the pass;
Studios invite other groups, in addition to Cinema/Chicago, to their advance screenings, to ensure a full theatre. We recommend that you arrive very EARLY to the theatre (recommend 60 mins ahead of time) to ensure seating;
Advance screening passes are emailed to current Cinema/Chicago members. They are not mailed out. Please call the Festival hotline at 312-332-FILM for advance screening announcements if you do not have email access;
You must bring a copy of the electronic pass to the theatre for admission. Your Cinema/Chicago membership card will not be valid for admission;
An RSVP is sometimes required for studio screenings. Please RSVP to the telephone number or email address listed on the pass, NOT Cinema/Chicago;
Studio screenings are NOT listed on the Festival website, but will be announced on the Festival hotline: 312-332-FILM.
