Passionate. Honest. Inventive. Young visionaries let their voices be heard at Cinema/Chicago’s CineYouth Festival. This film festival, specifically for youth under 20, highlights the work of the next generation of filmmakers.
The 2008 Cine Youth Festival (formerly Future Filmmakers Festival), in its fourth national Festival year is no longer accepting submissions. This year we received over 250 films from teen filmmakers from all across the United States, with 100 Official Selections in catagories ranging from PSA to Documentary to Experimental Film.
The 2008 Festival will highlight
the work of filmmakers under the age of 20,
culminating in a public screening of the Award-Winning films
in front of an audience at Columbia College.
The Cine Youth Festival reaches
young filmmakers across the country—attracting
a larger and more diverse pool of submissions
and significantly expanding our audience. The 2008 Festival is
currently scheduled for June 20 and 21 will be full of more
screenings, workshops, and opportunities for young
filmmakers to display their work and further pursue
their passion.
